Carya Golf Club
Carya was designed by Peter Thomson, a five-time winner of the Open Championship and a multiple-time host of the Turkish Airlines Open. The course takes its cues from the traditional heathland layouts found in the Surrey and Berkshire sandbelt. More than a million sprigs of heather had to be brought in from other countries in order to build the breathtakingly beautiful course that winds through the pine forests. It is also important to highlight the greens, since they are among the best you will ever putt on and deserve special recognition.
The Faldo King Course at the Cornelia Golf Club
There is plenty of fantastic golf to be found among the pine trees and sandy slopes of Cornelia. The course was created by Sir Nick Faldo, who has won six major championships, and it features three nine-hole circuits, each of which presents a very distinct challenge. The course is a strategic masterpiece that is highly ranked and located in the crown gem of golfing that is Belek. It is known for its challenging doglegs and dazzling lakes. The practice facilities are equally as impressive, so you can retain your skills at the highest level possible.
Lykia Links Golf Club
Lykia is the only links-style course in the surrounding area, and it features a breathtaking beachfront layout right on the edge of the Mediterranean. in addition to being a component of the Lykia World Antalya resort. The course, which is around two miles long and runs along a stretch of golden beach, offers some breathtaking vistas of the ocean. But don’t let it divert your attention; this Perry Dye course, which was designed by the famous Pete Dye’s son, is a magnificent addition to the area because to its sleepered bunkers and plenty of contours.
The Old Course of the Gloria Golf Club
The Gloria Old Course is not only one of the most prestigious courses in Belek but also one of the oldest, having first opened its doors in 1997. Finding your way around is a lot like playing golf through a minefield since there are sand hazards and water hazards that are just waiting to make a significant hole in your scorecard. In 2005, a second 18-hole configuration known as the New Course was built. This course is famous for its island green 17th hole, which is modeled after the one at the TPC Sawgrass. The set is finished off by a practice course that has nine holes.
The Pines Course of the Sueno Golf Club
It should come as no surprise that the Sueno resort is one of the most popular, given that it features two fantastic courses right on site. The Pines course is likely superior to the shorter Dunes course, although in all honesty, both courses go through the same breathtaking terrain of sand and pine, with a few significant water hazards thrown in for good measure. Both courses contain island green holes that are sure to remain in the player’s mind for a very long time.
Montgomerie Course, MAXX Royal Resort
The Montgomerie course at the 5* MAXX Royal resort boasts some really distinctive holes that have surely attracted both professional golfers and amateur golfers alike. In 2013, 2014, and 2015, this course served as the venue for the famous Turkish Airlines Open, which is played on the European Tour. The course is exquisite, difficult, and highly playable, with a multitude of water hazards and expansive stretches of sandy wasteland that must be navigated. It is also remarkable in that it has six par-3 holes, six par-4 holes, and six par-5 holes.
Golf Club of the Nation
The course that started it all at Belek, and still the gold standard against which all others are measured. The National is a lovely site for peace and quiet, with the course snaking through a beautiful forest of eucalyptus and pine trees. This makes for a really relaxing atmosphere. It is not an easy course since the fairways are quite narrow and there is a lot of water that has to be avoided, but it is a beautiful challenge that should be topped off with a delicious meal on the terrace that overlooks the 18th hole.
The PGA Sultan Course at the Antalya Golf Club
When it comes to the level of difficulty presented, the PGA Sultan course at the Sirene Belek Hotel in Antalya is unquestionably the senior partner, despite the fact that it is the younger of the two superb courses that are located there. It also boasts a true knee-knocker of an opening tee shot, which puts it right up there with Machrihanish. There is water in front of the tee, trees on the left side of the fairway, and water all the way down the right.
The Pasha Course of the Antalya Golf Club
Although the Pasha is somewhat easier to navigate because to its shorter length and more forgiving nature, as the locals of Antalya like to remind visitors, “it is no walk in the woods.” Both of these courses are a lot of pleasure to play since they provide such a diverse selection of holes, have challenging bunkering positions, and maintain a natural feel throughout.
